KMPS ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE

Let's get started. First remove the front wheel, top headlight shell, and fender. Obviously we have the bike securely on a jack and the tank is covered with a thick blanket.

Now remove the Headlight and speedo completely

Next remove the front brake caliper, loosten the triple tree pinch bolts, and remove the forks from the bike.

Remove the handle bars and lay them back on the tank. Remove the top triple tree.

Remove the headlight mounting rubbers from the bottom tree. These will get re-used on your KMPS kit.

Now remove the steering shaft and bottom tree completely so your frame looks like this. Only the bearing races remain.

Next you need to remove the bearing races from the frame. The easiest way is with a race removal tool as shown. It can be done without the removal tool if need be.

Your Kit should look like this when you get it. Take note of how it is assembled because it goes back together just like this on the bike.

Now install the blocks on the frame by themselves without the spacer tubes.

Now use the large bolt to pull the blocks into the bearing races. Then, back the bolt out a few turns, and drive the top block back out using the bolt. Then remove the bolt and the top block so only the bottom block is installed and it is seated all the way into the bottom race.
